When do you use power?
Solar only pays while the sun's up. Power you use after dark is what the battery covers — more evening usage means a bigger battery bank for the evening peak. Most homes land near the even split: the cooking and dishwasher are all evening, but the fridge, standby and pool pump run right through the day.
