Smoke Alarm - 240V Hardwired (R240)

The R240 is a 240V mains-powered photoelectric smoke alarm that offers early detection of both smoldering and open fires. It comes with a 9V battery backup for continuous operation during power outages and can be interconnected with up to 40 other units, either through a hardwired or wireless connection with an optional base.

For user convenience, it features a hush function to temporarily silence nuisance alarms for 10 minutes and a test button to ensure the alarm is functioning correctly. The alarm includes a green LED to indicate mains power is on and a red LED for warnings, low battery, and fault and memory functions. This surface-mounted alarm is designed for indoor use and has a noise level of 85 dB at 3 meters. Certified by CSIRO and compliant with AS 3786:2014 standards, the R240 provides reliable smoke detection for any home.
